The client is a US food packaging company that just bought two #sheeters from China, among other machines. The chosen supplier is a top-three sheeter manufacturer because of its advanced technology, mature fabrication expertise (30+ years), lower cost, and, more importantly, short lead time.
We audited the 2 sheeters' test run before loading them into containers. The highlight of the auditing was given to two features of the sheeter: automatic roll splicer and auto palletizer and changer. The sheeter was equipped with two rolls of paper so non-stop splicing can be achieved while the sheeter is still running. While the auto roll spice to our eyes is semi-automatic because manual splicing is still needed, the pallet changer is fully automatic. It is a very nice feature that no labor is involved and everything is done by itself. All are done while the sheeter is still running.
